Service & Visitation Options

At The Springs Funeral Services, you have the choice of many different service and visitation options.

Families who take time to personalize their choices and decisions, tend to have a more healthy grief process.  As you begin thinking about the tribute, we encourage you to turn your thinking to the memories of your loved one.  Think about his or her hobbies, pastimes, passions, achievements, and personality.  Consider the special memories that you would like to have shared and the special friends or family you could include in the tribute to his or her life.

What Can I Personalize?

Each part of the tribute you choose may be personalized.  A traditional service may be exactly what you need, or a more intimate gathering or reception may be best.  You may wish to have limited visitation time with designated hours, or a more flexible come and go visitation.  Whatever services and visitation options you desire, we will guide and assist you in personalizing each part.

Personalization Ideas

• Photos, memorabilia, and/or collections of artwork can be displayed during visitation, the service or at a reception or gathering following the service.
  
• Music selections can include both those meaningful to your loved one and to you.
  
• A distinctive poem or reading may have special meaning and speak to the uniqueness of your loved one’s life
  
• Have a special friend or family member participate in the service by playing music, delivering the special readings or other ways.
  
• Someone special and close to your loved one and you may want to share special memories or thoughts during the service or visitation.  Some families have chosen to give a few friends or family the opportunity to share special thoughts at the service or visitation
  
• Ask children if they would like to write a letter or draw a picture to say goodbye.  Their letter or picture could then be placed in the casket or cremation container.
  
• Don’t be afraid to use humor.  The best tributes sometime make us laugh and cry.
